Planning Tip of the Week
Never written a proposal before? Here’s a calendar to help you break the design and writing process into concrete steps. Use the next 2-3 weeks to define your learning goals:
- Practice inquiry: What are the questions you want to explore?
- Think about your students: How do your learning goals address their needs?
- Explore multiple destinations that will engage you in active, rather than passive, learning.
- Be courageous: Create a learning experience that will push you out of your comfort zone!
This Prezi will walk you through the steps to craft your fellowship proposal.
“Why seek out the tried and true, instead of experiences that will stretch you?”
-Carol S. Dweck, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success
Carol Dweck writes that the best thing we can give our students is “to teach our children to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning.” The same is true for teachers. Fund for Teachers is your opportunity to exercise your growth mindset.
