As the strategic nonprofit partner of the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), AchieveMpls mobilizes a wide web of community support and resources to ensure academic achievement, equitable opportunities, and career and college readiness for all students. Preparing our young people to succeed in school, work, and life is the best investment we can make in our city's health and vitality.
AchieveMpls raises funds for school reform initiatives and provides students with career and post-secondary exploration experiences that make learning relevant. AchieveMpls manages STEP-UP, the City of Minneapolis' summer youth employment program, administers grant and scholarship opportunities for teachers and students, and serves as the local education fund to administer financial contributions to schools and the Minneapolis school district. AchieveMpls also operates Career and College Centers in Minneapolis Public high schools, providing resources for students to explore career paths after graduation and prepare for post-secondary education.
