The John P. Ellbogen Foundation

The mission of the John P. Ellbogen Foundation is to create or cause change, primarily for the benefit of the people of the State of Wyoming through the support of science, education and charity.

John P. "Jack" Ellbogen is the benefactor of the Foundation. The focus of his philanthropy was for education. He believed that the classroom teacher was the single most important factor to enhanced student learning. Jack established programs in Wyoming to emphasize quality teaching and to recognize and reward teachers for excellence as seen through the eyes of their students.

Central to the Foundation is support for Wyoming teachers through the Wyoming National Board Certification Initiative, and Early Childhood systems building. The Foundation also gives to various charitable organizations that address quality of life issues.
