Plan for Fellowship Implementation Guidelines

Each FFT proposal included a curricular unit or instructional strategy/approach. Upon conclusion of your project, we ask that you share a tangible action plan with CFE's Lesson Plan Database (www.cfelessonplans.org) so that teachers from every corner of the world can benefit from your experience and expertise.

At least one member of each grant-winning fellowship must submit a lesson plan highlighting the team's collective experience. However, you are more than welcome to contribute multiple curricular units or instructional strategies/approaches.

Contributing a lesson plan is easy! The CFE website offers a template for your use, and past Fellows report that it takes just 30-60 minutes to upload a plan, given that it is based on work already developed for use in your classroom. Examples are available at www.cfelessonplans.org.

If you have contributed to CFE's Lesson Plan Database before, you have a unique User ID and password. If this will be your first experience with our online tool, please use the same login and password you use on the FFT website.  If you would like your password resent or reset, please email Nedranae at NHunt@CFEgrants.org.

We recommend typing your content in a Word document, saving it, and then copying and pasting your content into the online format. Please plan to include the following components:

  • Unit or Project Title
  • Subject Areas
  • Grade Levels
  • Estimated Length
  • Illinois State Standards
  • Overview
  • Student Learning Objectives
  • Before the Activity
  • Supplies
  • Activities (may upload any worksheets, handouts, etc.)
  • Student Assessment (may upload documents)
  • Extensions (if any)
  • Recommended Resources for further exploration or use in the unit (e.g., websites or books)
