John P. Ellbogen Foundation

The mission of the John P. Ellbogen Foundation is to create or cause change, primarily for the benefit of the people of the State of Wyoming through the support of science, education and charity.

John P. "Jack" Ellbogen is the benefactor of the Foundation. He understood the value of education at an early age. He believed that second to the support of his parents, the classroom teacher was the most important factor to enhanced student learning. Jack established programs in Wyoming to emphasize quality teaching and to recognize and reward teachers for excellence as seen through the eyes of their students.

Central to the Foundation is support for Wyoming teachers through the Wyoming National Board Certification Initiative, Meritorious Classroom Teaching Awards and Early Childhood Education to name a few. The Foundation also gives to various charitable organizations that address quality of life.
